What do you with the sound track from which we see a part? That Blueray option just happened to be highlighted when I took the screenshot as an example of how limited the options are compared with the options that I’m used to seeing , even in this old project, which I probably rendered as ‘Internet p Widescreen’ – surely it doesn’t matter what my render settings are if the render button doesn’t work.

The goal with my render is to have a video people can waych and listen to. I import the soundtrack from my folder of finished songs, in either. You should have seen more rendering options. This is a filter that will only show rendering options that fit that criteria. I think we did not ask which buildnr you are using. Because I see in your screenshots things I do not see in my Vegas Pro 14 build You can find this buildnr.

We did. I could not find it. Sorry vkmast – I missed your question about the build. Does this make a difference, considering that I used to see more options in my ‘Render As’ window and it is only recently that I get a greyed out render button every time? Given the unusual nature of your reported issue, and possible differences over technical communication, I would say the answer to that question is “Yes,” along with the rest of the troubleshooting information requested here:.

I am using version of Vegas Pro 14, and several things have changed since , including the Render dialog. I don’t recommend staying with earlier builds, even though you report something has changed for you.

I have no issues suggesting anything you have reported. Are you sure you want to report this comment post user as questionable? You may be blocked if you misuse this feature! Sign in. Back to post. A few things here First, there is no “Sony” Vegas Sony has nothing to do with this product.

I assume you clicked the small black arrow next to a Format to see the Templates. Add the black and white effect. Select the required part by clicking on it and then from the Project Media window, navigate to Video FX window.

A scroll-enabled list of video effects will appear. Search for the Black and White effect from the menu, select it and different variants of the effect will appear. Out of the different intensities of the effect, select one and drag-drop it on the video. You’ve now successfully added the black and white effect to the video. A pop up may appear, close it and you’re done. Render the video. Choose the right render preset for your project, select the destination and wait till it renders.

After rendering, you’ll get a smooth video with your desired effect. Include your email address to get a message when this question is answered. In order to avoid abruptness, overlap the split parts a bit to create a fade transition effect.

Also their silver Audio program wasn’t as clever as they led me to believe, with a dreadful interface.

Audacity isn’t exactly friendly, but at least it’s free and has a spectrum feature, which I don’t use either. SF Studio is my preferred Audio-editor Movie Studio 12 by contrast is was excellent and handled most things well; indeed I also used it for Audio- when mixing multi-tracks. Oddly SoundForge Studio can’t do but Sony wasn’t really interested. Spectral Layers was almost doing it for me, but just like the Show Me How tutorials. I have a 40″ TV which is very sharp, but I don’t want my nose against it.

Using software should be engaging not a potential Divorce. This sets the text off, far stronger than “Outline” -or the “Shadow” features. These backgrounds are permanently in Media-Bins under “Starter Maybe I will try those Magix Forums, but not for I’m guessing. I I’ve got Vegas Pro What video codec are you using? AVI is an old and relatively primitive container format, not a video or audio compression format. What is the reason you are rendering to an AVI?

A more modern, efficient video codec is h. MP4 container. WMP should be able to play MP4s. The free MediaInfo program will show you what video and audio streams are inside a container file. So why AVI? Last edited: Jan 26,

That is completely the wrong way because the Nvidia driver has nothing to do with all the Geforce extra’s. Than choose this after downloading that file install it and make these choices. A clean installation of only the drivers, the rest you don’t need for Vegas software.

For your GPU there are only Game drivers wihle for a bit better cards the special Studio drivers are available. I now have the new driver installed but I still see the same limited list of available video formats, with a greyed-out render button. I have even opened new projects, imported clips that have rendered as expected in the past, and I still get the same greyed-out render button, sometimes with an even shorter list of available templates.

As I have said, in reply to Derek’s request for more info. Any other ideas? I think you should consider providing Mediainfo output as per the FAQ. The information you provided is some kind of media info, but many vital details are missing.

And some screenshots project settings, render chooser. It would help if you told me which “vital details” you would need, to solve my problem. When you consider that this covers many projects, involving at least 4 varieties of video files, and that there are 21 ‘view’s in MediaInfo for each file, each view needing up to three screen shots to show the full list of data, I would be sending you a book to look at if I didn’t know what you wanted to see.

Old projects that I had no problem rendering in the past are also now showing a reduced list of options, although the render button is not greyed out in some cases, as you can see Is the above what you mean by “render chooser”? Do you know what you are doing? What is your goal with your render? What do you with the sound track from which we see a part?

Have registered at the Sony site and attempted to ask this question at their forum – and the Sony forum page appears to have gone down. Not off to a very good start Have now managed to render as ‘Windows avi’ in Vegas only to find that the video has lozenge lines all over it.
